Black Dahlia Case

The mysterious case of Elizabeth Short

"I just can't imagine someone doing that to another human being.” Brian Carr said. He didn’t know that a murder could go this far.

Elizabeth Short is known as the Black Dahlia. She is famously known for being split in half, and left on the yard of 3825 S Norton Ave. Her body was covered with a blanket to hide the fact that she had been cut in half. Everybody who passed her thought she was a mannequin. I could not find how she was discovered, but all I know is that her face had been cut like a large smile.

“A retired police detective suspects he's getting closer to solving a series of 1940s Hollywood murders, including that of the Black Dahlia — and the man he suspects to be the killer is his own father.” from www.usatoday.com/. Somebody proved that their own father was Elizabeth's killer. Her killer's name is George Hodel. His son, Steve Hodel, did his own mystery-solving against his own dad.

George Hodel

His evidence actually proved right. In 2012, Steve Hodel and a cadaver dog went back to his house and the dog picked up scents of human decomposition everywhere by the house. He also tested the soil and it did pick up human remains. George also had a secret room that none of his family members besides George were allowed in.
